Out of the gunsmithing I have been doing this is what turns me on the most

Very nice! How about checking out this auction on 5/17? A few mills & lathes & metalworking. It is an interesting mix of old farming implements & machine shop. Public Auction Sale: Ronald Myers Estate Auction - Warren, IN

Question on storing gasoline - is it worth it?

Ditto on HarvestLand ethanol free gasoline. I fill a tank with summer gas to use in all my equipment until fall. In the fall I empty it into the truck & fill with winter gas to use in the generator & winter equipment. In the spring it is run through the truck & refill the tank with summer...

Gunsmithing: Building a black powder Cannon

I was worried about the size when you said the bore was closer to 2 3/8" after honing. McMaster has 2 1/2 & 2 3/4" brushes in the same series. Still SS bristle & 1/4 NPT thread. Can't wait until it is done!

Gunsmithing: Building a black powder Cannon

So cool! Looking forward to the day you shoot it. You'll be glad you were "helped" with the project when he grows up; in fact, you will be surprised how much you were helped when somebody else is telling the story. Great project made better with the family involved.

      Appleseed field trip

I think the field trip is a great idea. I cannot say enough good things about attending an Appleseed! I took one last year, learned a lot, had a great time & plan on another one this year. It would be a great family weekend. In fact two of the groups at the Appleseed I attended were family...
