I have a Primo "egg style" ceramic smoker. Not as spendy as the BGE, but definitely gets the job done. I've cooked everything from wings, whole birds, ribs, brisket, pizza, you name it.

Mink, for sure. We had 6 chickens slaughtered in one day. I was using a chicken tractor with 1" hardware cloth underneath and up the sides two feet. I had 2" x 3" fencing on the top and the top 2' of the sides. We never had a problem with coons getting in, but there were plenty of tracks on...

I'm not sure if this was directed at me, but I was simply offering advice to another member who wanted more distance on his cast. I think it helped him.
As for the 70' cast with the custom comp rods...Not sure, when I'm casting, I'm fishing. I've never felt the need to cast for distance...
