What's up in NWI tonight? Seems pretty quiet around here. Lawn is mowed, dogs are fed.... whiskey and back porch sittin'? Alright, y'all twisted my arm.
So if I DO go the lemonbalm route, all I need to do is plant 100 or so, and light one or two on fire every night when I want to hang out outside. Too easy.
So last week or so I asked folks here about the Griffith Izaak Walton. I have never been there or even mentioned it anywhere else. Yesterday out of left field my father-in-law says, "I think I'm gonna join the Griffith Izaak Walton." Super weird timing...
Lol. Someday when I fulfill my dream of buying a warehouse I will have the space to jump on those opportunities. Until then, I have to let them slip through my fingers.
I inquired last week with the sales rep. She sent me an email saying their 2020 current inventory+ future supply is going to a govt contract and it'll likely be 2021 sometime before they can sell any to the public. Similarly, prices for their products at the ready store doubled last week as well.
My parent's go to Bailey's once a month or so (they're in their 80s and it's about the only time they leave home these days) and it's usually accompanied by a million phone calls....do you need a pallet of beef jerkey? Do you need a pallet of socks? How are you doing with kitchen cabinets? ...
I'm going to look into that. I just put up a new cedar fence in the backyard, almost 200 linear feet, and I have been debating the landscaping scenario around it. Lemonbalm may have just hopped on the list.
18th Street Distillery in Hammond. Their bourbon is pretty good. It's not the best I've ever had, but they are local so that counts for extra points with me.
