From what I heard, this partial shutdown does not affect the NFA branch. They were funded under a separate prior spending bill.
I have seen people online saying that they were approved post shutdown. I myself am waiting on an E-Filed Form 1 that was submitted 12/16.
As someone who worked full time at an FFL for five years (2011-2016) I have a few insights as well. Part time is the best option as it offers almost all the perks but none of the drawbacks.

According to the press release, both the Ruger Security 9 mag well and the Glock mag well are included. The only question I have is whether they can make enough of them to satisfy demand.
This has me very very interested, for a number of reasons.
1. Ammo is currently on the market already on the shelf at $10.99-$11.49 per box! There's not a lot calibers in that price point that offer that level of performance. Yes you can technically get the same level of performance (accuracy...

From what I've seen working the counter at Midwest things have already headed that way. I field about 10-15 phone calls a day there. An increasing amount of them have been asking about 5.56 ammo.
Honestly I have no doubt that this guy (and possibly people in the crowd) would have been all over the kid's stuff like jackals.
I often ask myself what is wrong with society that would produce such behavior that I saw that night.
Honestly part of me is afraid of finding out.
