      The 788 has rear lug's 9 of them. Brownells sells 788 wrench for $135 which is steep for a one off project. Thanks on the barrel vise offer! if i cant make my idea on that work I'll hit you up.

      Do empty rear sight screw holes weaken barrel?

      Do i need to put a plug or screw into these holes for strength? They are fairly deep and closer to the chamber than i would have put them, but i figure Big Green knows what they're doing. But with the sight removed I've changed the equation minutely. So will these empty spots be weaker empty...

      Thought about it some more and would a single taper have chance to crush the shoulder than several smaller ones? Say a cone vs a stepped transition? Just thinking out loud here?

      Im trying to figure out which expander plug style would be the best to go from 224 to 6mm. I plan on making what i need on the lathe but is the Lyman m style tge best. Or the good ole tapered plug? Or should i just put a steady long taper on a pin? Any advice is appreciated

      I have a manson reamer, my first and only so far. I sprang for the removable pilot. Well now i have 5 manson pilot bushings. Next up i need a gritters type indicating rod and ptg has them $3 cheaper than manson and ptg's bushings are slightly cheaper also i cant seem to find tgrough google...
