      Responsibility

I just found out that I did something stupid. I feel embarrassed and ashamed of myself. My girlfriend's dad called me tonight to tell me that I left my handgun under her bed. It's bad enough that I apparently did this two nights ago and hadn't noticed, right? How did they know it was there? Her...

      Ubuntu Help

My computer has started completely freezing. After i cut power and reboot, I sometimes get an error message stating: Other times, I can select my kernel at bash, but before the login splash, I get a message stating I am using Ubuntu 8.04 and kernel 2.6.22-14-generic Any ideas or help?

This post: From this thread: https://www.indianagunowners.com/forums/politics_laws_and_2nd_amendment/9710-assault_rifles_should_be_banned.html Immediately made me think of this: Thoughts?

      Meeting up

I am going to be in Indy for a conference on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Does anyone want to meet up for dinner and/or bar time on Monday night, Tuesday night or Wednesday night? I wouldn't say no to a little bit of range time, either :D. I don't have my schedule yet, so I will have to...

      Busting clays

I have really been itching to shoot my shotguns, but can never seem to find anyone to go with. Anyone up north want to meet here: Oakwood Gun Club: Trap this weekend and bust some birds? I am free on either Saturday or Sunday and can work just about any time.

      Reloading

Is it worth it? I have been thinking about taking up reloading shot shells. My dad has my Granddad's reloaders and doesn't use them, so getting those won't cost anything. Is the cost for primers, wad, powder and shot low enough to justify the time to reload? I am thinking 12ga and 20ga. I...

      Food Allergies

Lesson of the day: Check ingredients lists BEFORE you assume they don't have what you are allergic too. In case anyone is wondering, yeast is used to make rum. Episcopus and rum at a concert -->:40oz: Episcopus and rum after the concert -->:puke:

      HK p2000 Range report

I shot my buddy's new 9mm HK p2000 yesterday. Overall, a very nice gun. Felt good in the hand, pointed well, nicely balanced. Slightly larger than my Sig p239, but close enough that there were no adjustment issues. I shot the bullseye out at 7 yards, and kept my group pretty tight out to...

      Open Carry?

Concord Monitor - Displaying a gun only makes you vulnerable Interesting article. Consider the source and determine for yourself whether it is credible. I don't necessarily agree with what he is saying, but I find the perspective from the 'other side' to be enlightening. The main thing I...

      Chicago and Heller

The NBC morning news is crapping its pants about the implications of the Heller decision, whatever it may be. They have spent all morning talking about what could happen in Chicago, if DC's ban is struck down, and being concerned because there is all ready so much gun violence.

      New Holster

My Don Hume H721OT came today. I love it so far. Very comfortable. Holds my Sig 239 very close to my body. It is light and secure. Nearly undectable under a well-fitting, untucked polo shirt. to Don Hume!

      Getting Made

I got made this week. In court. By a 60+ year old female lawyer. She didn't say anything to anyone else, or seem to care herself, so it isn't a big deal, I just thought it was kind of funny. So, who else has been made while carrying, and by whom? Did anything happen, or did they seem...

      P239 Holster Recommendations

Does anyone know of a good holster for the Sig p239? I think I am leaning towards OWB and concealing with a suit jacket or long shirt when I have to cover up. I have heard good things about Blackhawk SERPA, but it doesn't look like they make anything for my gun.

Getting used to a new gun

I put about 600 rounds through my new gun over the last two days. It has about 850 through it, total. It is nice settling in to the way a new gun shoots. By the end of today's range session, I was grouping about 1.5 or 2 inches at 7 yards. I know it isn't great, but it is the first handgun I...
