Long time no post :D
I bought a Ruger 10/22 Tactical so that I could easily mount my Tactical Solutions Cascade suppressor to it. Grabbed the flash suppressor that came with it, unscrewed it. Screwed the suppressor right on, hand tight, easy peasy. Zeroed it in the other day with some...
Store 1:
On Christmas Day, I ventured out to a nearby convenience store to get some superglue for a newly-broken toy around lunch time.
There was a sense of impatience and edginess in the store. People were shopping for Christmas presents believe it or not!
I picked up my item and went to...
There's a great article here on concealed carry @ Art of Manliness.
Pretty well written overall from my perspective, although I could certainly find points to argue.
The main thing I agree with here is that "taking it up a notch" stylistically when you carry not only helps conceal the firearm...
Anyone have an above ground cistern they've successfully freezeproofed?
I'm in a situation where I need a year round water supply and a well is not an option. I've been thinking of putting one of those big, plastic, above ground cisterns in a shed with a shallow well pump. It seems like...
I just realized that May 8th is going to be a very interesting political day for Indiana gun owners.
Not only do we have our primary, but it is quite possible something new could develop in the George Zimmerman / Trayvon case.
For instance, he's acquitted, charges dropped, and meanwhile...
So, I'm in the process of building a cabin and am considering propane as an energy source. I'm in the South Central Indiana REMC (SCIREMC) area.
SCIREMC offers a propane service. Is it best to buy from them? They offer a free tank but I have to buy propane from them in bulk every year...
I inherited a few snakeskins from some timber rattlers killed many years ago. I'd like to have them preserved so I can put them on a wall.
Any recommendations on someone in the east central part of the state that can handle this?
I'm looking to get an EDC knife with the following features and I thought I'd tap the hive mind.
Fits comfortably in pocket.
Pocket / belt clip.
Assisted opening.
~ $50
Non-tactical looking - stainless, etc.
Straight blade - no serration desired
Lighter is better
Smaller - not big
I work in...
I've always bought something inexpensive that lasts until I lose it or destroy the edge.
I finally sprung for a quality knife - a real value.
I picked up this Mora hunting knife. I'm VERY impressed with the edge and quality. VERY impressed. No more cheap knives for me! :rockwoot:
SPF - Red Primos® Nightblaster Varmint Hunter Scope Lights
$30 shipped.
Unit is in the Indianapolis metro area.
This twice - used, Primos red varmint scope light is great for night hunting coyotes and racoons by yourself. Works perfectly. The sticky for the velcro was never even pulled...
:rockwoot:
I just picked up one of these.
Tells me just about everything I need to know to survive anything that gets thrown at me in this life and next.
It is waterproof, you can write in it, highlight it, and it FLOATS. It will be awesome for those long afternoons in the treestands...
Who here's done it?
I'm looking at packing a cold cooler for 4 days. How much should I get for a smaller cooler for one guy?
Anybody recommend a good soft-sided cooler?
So, I watched it last night. I liked the dry, British humor. I liked that it wasn't overly-gory. I didn't care for the lack of firearms. The cricket bat was cool.
Overall, a good flick, but there are several zombie flicks I like better.
Soooooo........
I'm going on a three day, two night kayak trip this summer with the fellas to kayak down a river and am going to need to pick up a kayak for the trip. It's out of state - a few rapids (the two lowest classes), but nothing big.
I'd like something I can also use to hunt and fish...
I'm looking for a tool to clear brush / briars / small trees from a camp site.
I bought the el cheapo, $6.98 machete from Wally World and should have known better.
