PCR with custom (by me) grips, left side smooth and right side palm swell and notches. Considering replacing the rear sight, but it shoots well already. Fun stuff these CZ's are.
I was told by one of the more conservative instructors here at IUPUI that since it is state property even if it doesn't fall in the legal definition of a school (for firearm purposes), but instead as that of gov. owned property thus making it illegal. Whether that's true or not I haven't been...
My apologies for not returning sooner and for reviving a month old thread. My friend hired a lawyer and went to the court house on the time he was told. But when he got to the court house, he was told that they had not actually set a court date for his case. So he called to see if there was a...
I think it has been thoroughly established that my friend isn't the sharpest tool in the shed, but that was already known to some. And that he obviously violated a law in the state of Illinois. But, there has been some really good advice and info also.
The main thing now is making sure that the...
Once again thanks for all the opinions, advice, and information. It's likely that I won't have much more information to update on the situation until his court date next month. Until then I will try to answer any questions, but I can't promise anything.
jeremy I don't know about that, but I...
mainjet and mrjarrell we are working on having another friend help out with the money to afford a good lawyer.
hopper I will make sure to inform him to get the resolution in writing in case of any problems down the road.
ABolt if nothing else thank you for the effort.
And thank you to...
Scutter he may or may not have known this, he was barely in the state in an attempt to see his son for the first time in a couple of years and wasn't thinking about laws.
Roadie I kinda guessed that but couldn't help pointing it out.
Never said it was in a shoebox, why would anyone carry a perfectly good glock in a shoebox? :dunno: Wouldn't it blow your foot off?
Although he did have it on his person along with two extra magazines.
My apologies for not getting back sooner, but I want to thank everyone for their input. And I do have more information directly from him.
He was in Mt. Carmel pulling out of the parking lot of a fast food restaurant when a cop pulled him over. He was not speeding, what he says is that someone...
ATM it is too bad that not everyone sees things the way we INGOers do.
jsharmon it was stupid of him and I guarantee that he won't make that mistake again, one way or another. And hopefully he won't be the only one who learns from this.
Steelman I hope for his sake that it does get lowered...
Said friend has only had his LTCH for a short time and hadn't fully familiarized himself with the law of surrounding states, and from the looks of it he committed a class four felony. Thanks for the info, it may not have helped the situation but at least we know what he's dealing with.
linkin...
He said he was in Carmel, Illinois but I will double check with him. I don't currently know how they found the pistol, I do know he has informed officers of him carrying when he was pulled over another time in IN. He was arrested a few hours ago and I'm working on getting the whole story. I will...
A friend of mine forgot that Illinois doesn't recognize an IN LTCH and was arrested because he had his pistol with him when he was pulled over for speeding.
Neither I nor he know much about Illinois law, what we want to know is 1. Will he be charged with a misdemeanor or a felony? 2. Will he...
A 1967 short-bed Ford F100 with a 302 in it and is fixin' to have a new paint job in a couple of weeks. It was my dad's first vehicle but it's mine now, he bought it off of a farmer he knew that had purchased it new.
Thank you to all the LEO's here as well as all the military men and women, may GOD bless and keep you safe. It sickens me every time I hear someone who has no idea what they're talking about talk trash about all cops because of something one or two have done.
Wood stocks are mostly for looks, and looks don't do a whole lot. It's whatever feels right on the gun and what you're used to IMHO.
Most of my guns have Choate synthetic stocks on them though because my dad worked there and that's what I'm used to.
