      When posting pictures of guns...

I'd go with it being overkill, making only slightly more sense than blurring out your license plate in car pics.

      1911-22 Opinions Please

My Sig 1911-22 has been 100%, however it just sits in the safe these days. .22 LR ammo being so rare . . . :(

Officer shot and K9 killed in Sellersburg, Indiana

Very sad. I guess Kilo must be a common police dog name. As I also at first thought it was Clarksville's Kilo. His handler & the dept. seem pretty proud of the dog, with his name and picture being on the side of his handler's department SUV. Nice officer & dog from my limited interaction...

      5.7x28ammo for FN five-seven

I won't pay the prices most places online try to sell it for. But it does seem to be coming down. Before it was selling quickly at any price. Now it just sits unless its below $1/round. Last weekend I was able to pick up 6 boxes of american eagle from cabelas at $23/box. Pretty reasonable...

      Drawing a pistol - Yeager

Anyone have thoughts on the draw stroke taught by TR (and quite a few others) as compared to something more abbreviated, such as Ron Avery displayed in his video w/Cory & Erika? Avery seemed to opine that the stroke in the video's here is excessively deliberate in proceeding straight up & then out.

Best Practice Ammo For Kahr P380?

Whatever you can find. . . Mine has been 100% with anything & everything.

      338 Lapua

So does anyone have any input on the rifles mentioned in the OP? The Savage seems like an affordable entry into the space, but sometimes things are cheap for a reason . . .

      Guntucky

Negative. A parent may buy a firearm for a child, but, here, the problem would be that the ineligible purchaser [child] would be reimbursing the eligible purchaser [parent]. It's the reimbursement that's the problem.

I'd say it's a good thing he didn't, since that would be straw purchase.

I gave it a try, but it was just too hookey. I lost it @ the 'mob experience' bit.

Home door security: Harden your doors!

Or they could more easily throw a rock through a window. The issue not whether a home can be breached, but instead how difficult unauthorized entry is as compared to what safety features can be reasonably implemented in the most cost effective fashion. When was the last time an average burglar...

Review: Ruger GP100 - Wiley Clapp edition

great looking gun I saw one in the store a few weeks back & it really caught my eye. Nice review, I may have to consider one. Is the Wiley Clapp just a special edition version? Are there any differences besides finish & grips from a standard model?

Turkish MP5 Clone for Euro Civilian Market

When they pop up they seem to be well over $2k now on gunbroker. :(

Ever had a gun stolen from a vehicle?

Interesting, if somewhat vitriolic opinions by some. Some people have guns for the specific purpose of leaving in the car. It's amusing that one who is the victim of a crime is the irresponsible one to some people through having a firearm stolen from a locked vehicle.

How much more will you pay to support a LGS that allows carry?

I was actually discussing a related issue on another forum in specific regard to KCR, which bans carrying (@ least on the firing line). We often rail against business establishments that disallow carry, yet nothing is said about gun shops & ranges that also ban it. It's somewhat odd. Ranges...

      Spikes Tactical joins growing list

I gave one specific example. I said home invasion for a point of discussion. I don't think you are at any more risk of a home invasion than the rest of us or in any more danger in the course of it. In fact the risk of occurrence could conceivably be less by virtue of the police cruiser that...

      Spikes Tactical joins growing list

I've been following ArmaLite's PR mess thing evening. It's unfortunate they don't seem to get it, for similar reasons to gtech. Absolutely, neither individual officers nor agencies should have access to anything another civilian cannot legally purchase. Why is your safety more important...

      Kentucky gun registration bill introduced

I believe all the sponsors, save one, are from Louisville & Lexington. Louisville is not exactly a bastion for conservatism. But I don't know what they have to gain from this since it faces a steep uphill battle to pass. I don't think such a severe bill even plays well in the more liberal...

      Kentucky gun registration bill introduced

I agree, but better to be proactive so as to avoid something slipping through.
