or if you are not searched (we are here) just throw it in your locker in a bag. No one will ever know it is there. Granted if you get caught and fired you have no one to blame but yourself.
That is kind of the way I have taken it too. Started with a couple good friends who enjoyed camping, shooting, hiking, etc. We would not just prepare for gloom and doom but stuff like hey man you lost your house in a fire well here is how we will help you get back on your feet or even a simple...
I already have a good team and great plans in place and trust is going to be huge for me.
However; I would not mind meeting with like minded individuals in order to discuss other options I may have missed such as alternative paths or even look at splitting stuff like bulk food/ammo purchases.
In an interview on RTV6's "Good Morning Indiana," Donnelly affirmed his support for the Second Amendment, but said, "I'm also a dad. I want to make sure that every child who goes to school can feel safe, everyone who goes to work can feel safe."
I think he needs to be educated on what...
Foodsaver expect 3-5 years max.
Mylar/O2 easily 30 years.
Depends on how long you want to store it.
We rotate a lot of our food so 3-5 years is more than acceptable however; I had bad luck with vacuum sealing in the past and prefer mylar/O2 since it is cheap.
The gamma lids in my experience are a PITA to get off once they are on and you will probably end up ****ing up the lid.
Flip the bucket and beat the lid with a mallet works pretty well but takes a lot of time.
Also warm the plastic if you have to remove them does help out drastically...
Personally I hate putting my food directly into buckets for long term storage.
Would rather spend the buck or so and mylar/o2 and be sure it is sealed. Plus stockpiling for a couple people I will buy smaller mylar bags and just open what is needed when it is needed.
I buy all mine from USA emergency supply (https://www.usaemergencysupply.com/)
Great luck and good shipping.
Also, steal a hair straightener for the quickest and easiest way to seal them.
Good to know.
I have realized it is impossible to find it now but I want to know which retailers are jumping their prices and refusing to ever do business with them again.
They are added to the nice list.
Took us 30 minutes to get into the building and we were there at 3.
No real deals to be found except for overpriced beat up 30 round mags, few PMAGs at 50. Oh and 223 at 20/box.
Bunch of gear and most of it was in bad shape.
There was a mini 14 I was really eyeballing but I did not have...
Zero and I refuse to.
Almost bought a mini 14 at the gun show today because it was not a bad price. However; there were zero other good deals to be found and the price gouging was out of hand. Crappy beat to hell 30 round mags for 30+
I keep my ammo at certain levels to avoid these...
I know everyone says backfeeding is safe but the fact my insurance will not cover any damages including if my house burns down is enough to deter me.
I really want to get a transfer switch installed so I can do it to code but for now extension cords work fine.
Do you know the size of hte fan?
Furnace Fan (Gas or fuel oil): 1/8 HP 300 500
Furnace Fan (Gas or fuel oil): 1/6 HP 500 750
Furnace Fan (Gas or fuel oil): 1/4 HP 600 1000
Furnace Fan (Gas or fuel oil): 1/3 HP 700 1400
Furnace Fan (Gas or fuel oil): 1/2 HP 875 2350...
Truth.
People over complicate this. Just buy 10-20 bucks extra a week of what you like and put it in a closet. In no time you will have a good amount of food you know you will enjoy.
If you have a gas furnace you do not need a big one at all.
Really only thing electrical is the blower fan and most of the time it is already plugged in via a 3 prong. If not easy electrical fix or a couple hundred to an electrician solves that problem.
