I have a Davis derringer in 38 cal. It doesn't even make a good doorstop.
Don't waste your money!
38 cal. like a 642 is a good pocket pistol but, it takes a lot of practice to be proficient.
Will a Garrison 9mm count?
I changed out the grips and the sights, reverse crowned the barrel and added a magwell. Installed a 3 1/2-4 lbs. flat trigger.
Let us not forget the skateboard tape.
Years ago, I went to Point Blank in Greenwood. RO came up and tapped me on the shoulder and told me I was shooting to fast.
I turned and told him, if bullets are flying at me, damn right I'm going to shoot fast.
On another note, I was looking for a 22 to buy for my daughter. I saw a nice Ruger...
I used to shop exclusively at a LGS on the south side of Indy.
Then the virus hit.
Lost all the regulars.
Last time I was there, I bought a Sig P320. Salesman had the personality of a door knob. Not helpful at all.
Started going to Highsmiths in Greenfield.
Great inventory, great staff good...
I was shooting a Mark IV 22/45 that belonged to my daughter. It kept stovepiping. I thought maybe my daughter didn't clean it very well so, I took it home and recleaned it and oiled it.
Back to the range, still stovepiping.
Called Ruger, they sent me a return label and away it went.
Here's...
After having 2 knuckles replaced on my rt. hand, I lost a lot of dexterity in my first 2 fingers.
When my trigger finger goes in the trigger guard, it always lands on the point of the trigger.
This is irritating once you get past 50 rds.
For this reason, I have flat triggers on all of my guns...
I had a 8 shot 22, (941?)
Would fire 2 cylinders and then lock up.
Took it back to the LGS and traded it for a Ruger Mark lll.
Have since then, bought 2 more Ruger 22's.
No more Taurus!
I wear sweatpants all the time. When I go somewhere, I put on my gun belt with a holster and a mag pouch. Pull down my T-shirt and I'm good to go.
I carry a Springfield Hellcat with a red dot. No one ever notices.
I've been to the Greenwood SPB a couple of times. Then one day, the range officer taps me on the shoulder and tells me I'm shooting too fast. WHAT!!
If some one is shooting at me, I want to return fire as fast as possible.
Haven't been back since then.
When I hired in the USPS, in 1980, as a truck driver, we got familiarization with a 38 snub.
They had a cabinet set up in the truck terminal where you would shoot wax bullets into. Just to see if you could hit anything.
Whenever we carried a registered package or carried mail from the airport...
Shorts in the summer, sweats in the winter.
Just strap on your gun belt with your holster and mag pouch.
Just like wearing it with pants.
Pull down t-shirt for cover.
I can easily carry a 1911 or anything else in this manner.
