      Tactical Pens?

      I also have a CountyComm Embassy pen. It would make a useful weapon in a pinch, but I mainly bought it for its heft and durability. I like the Jotters too. I have a few at work and one in my BOB.

      There are free USGS topological maps available for download as PDFs at http://store.usgs.gov. Their map locator and downloader is a Google-based map of the US that you can zoom in on any area, and see what coverage they have.

      Looking for advice on a pack

      The 3-day pack from LA Police Gear that I just bought has a pocket for a hydration bladder. The pack itself was inexpensive, and seems to be fairly well-built. I'm re-packing my BOB into it.

      What handgun do you carry?

      Thanks! The SS is essentially a scaled down 1911 in .380. For a small gun, they have grips with a large left side thumb swell that fit my hand well. I liked it, but I wasn't really a fan of the caliber.

      I lived there from 1979 until 1993. In 1999 when I went to my 10th high school reunion, a few of us drove around to some of our old hang-out spots. We interrupted an apparent drug deal at Mill Dam. I guess nostalgia's not what it used to be. :)

      Where to buy water storage barrels

      Does anyone in the Indy metro area have a good source for 30 gallon polyethylene water-safe drums that they would be willing to share? I want to get some water stored. I've found some industrial suppliers online, but no one that does singles retail.
