Buying land in far Northern Michigan

I have a guy that works for us that owns land in Kentucky. I think he has about 80 acres of wooded hillside that he didn't pay much for at all. I am thinking south for land purchases also...even though you can't beat northern MI for being peaceful.

      Any Marlin 1894 44MAG Shooters?

I got one last year and love it. I shoot the Hornady 225 for deer hunting and got my 8 pointer this past year at about 90 yards. I have it scoped and have also just started to reload for it. I'm using Sierra 210 HP for now and we'll see how it does. With the Hornady I can get 3 shot groups...

Carry in the Smokey Mountain National Park?

My family and I visited the smokies a few years back and it just happened to be after a fatal bear attack...needless to say we didn't walk those trails without protection. I feel if I'm legal within the state then I should be legal while camping in a park in that state.

Got to hold the Ruger LCR today

I agree with buying this instead of the LCP. I have an LCP I'm trying to sell now to get into a revolver instead.

I'm looking for a nice 30-06 right now so if anyone has anything to trade let me know. This is a very nice Model 81 in 35 Remington. It has a 5 round magazine. Everything is original and nothing is missing. This gun has been fired very little, the bore is very good and shiney. The trigger is...

I got mine in blue last fall for deer season and haven't had any trouble with it. I like the Hornady lever ammo best, but have fired softpoints too without problems.

      44 mag deer rifle

Muzzleloaders do have much better range than a 1894, but where I hunt is in the woods and rarely have had a shot over 100 yards. I will say that the most important thing in taking a deer humanely is in the shot placement and not so much the round in my opinion. There are a lot of bullets that...

      Reloading 5.56/.223

I like to spread a tarp on the ground to catch brass when we shoot...I am shooting at our farm too though and not at a range so it is easy to lay the tarp..shoot and collect. I like Hornady vmax bullets 55 gr with BLC2 powder and CCI primers...works great for me.
