I've been there several times in the last couple of months and have carried each time. There are no security or bag checks. You should be fine as long as you're carrying concealed.
This is just absolutely terrible.
I know it won't bring him back or make the family hurt any less, but it would be nice to actually get the death penalty this time.

Just an update for the 2017-2018 season. They now have metal detectors at the door. If you’re a LEO you can show your ID to the police working security and they’ll let you in with a special wristband.
I have to turn my body cam on manually whenever I make a stop or get out on a run then I turn it off after I'm done. I honestly forget to turn it on sometimes when things happen quickly. I'm not saying that was the case with this incident, that's just my personal experience with body cams.
A nice patrol bag would be very helpful. It's something he'll use every day and they're a life saver. I use the 5.11 Wingman, and it works very well for me.
They just have ESG standing at the door. They will check bags and purses but no wands or metal detectors. I had season tickets carried to every single game with no issues.
Several officers I go to school with will wear their uniforms to class sometimes. They usually came right from work, or are going straight to work after.
I wear my uniform to class sometimes when I have to go right to work as well, but I take my duty belt off and wear a jacket so people can't tell.
