      Thinking of getting an FFL

I had a part time home business with an FFL in the past. Mine was gun repair only. For me it wasnt a lot of money but i really loved the work. It helps if the money is secondary until your business grows depending on what your plan is. Up side is you can set your own hours.

      mini 14.

Owned one before and always though it was a decent rifle. When I worked for IDOC we trained and used them in the watch towers. Very reliable weapon IMO.

Need advice on restoring grandpa's old double barrel

Use some 0000 steel wool with a little gun oil. That will take the fine rust off without marring any finish left. This will help to make it look better without actually rebluing it. Double barrels also usually have the barrels soldered together so any kind of hot caustic bluing is out of the...

Gander Mountain made me laugh !

Was in the Gander Mountain in Terre Haute a few weeks ago looking for powder for reloading and they had very little there too. Talked to the counter guy and he told me that they dont carry much of that anymore. Sad for such a large store.

I'll never carry a copy of my LTCH again!

Lessons learned I guess, as hard as that is to hear. I would keep a close eye around your house. If "Dirtbag" was already casing the place he might be back. I agree with Cosermann, putting a freeze on your acounts might be a hassle but will certainly help in stopping any more problems. Good luck

Stripping finish from old milsurp rifle stocks?

Anyone know of any good ways to pull the old military oil finish from used milsurp rifles? Im not a fan of the "oven cleaner" technique ive read about. Ive done it in the past in different ways and was hoping anyone had some new ideas/techniques to make it easier. thanks

      Holster recomendation - Law Enforcement

Sorry i dont have any holsters for a Glock. I would recommend a good OWB holster though with a decent belt. Depending on how they run your particular range you may be doing a lot of drawing to fire and a good holster and belt makes that so much easier. If they dont provide any equipment at your...

      Holster recomendation - Law Enforcement

What kind of weapon are you going to carry? I think i still have an extra duty holster left over from a training class with the Federal Protective Service. This is a basket weave holster for a Smith M&P.

Does anyone else not care about what happens in Syria?

We dont need to be in Syria. Firing a few missles on any target there will not change anything to the good for us or them. We can strike an empty field and there will be allegations we killed innocent civilians. Not to mention the Iranians being an ally to Syria and a Russian naval base in...

      pocket or ankle carry?

I also carry IWB mostly. When i dont, i prefer pocket carry. Ive tried both in the past and i just find it more comfortable and easier to access the weapon when its in a pocket. The ankle carry always felt funny to me.

      FN FAL forend rails

Looking for info on a company that may make a rail system for an FN. All I seem to find is a rail for over the receiver for scope mount.
