I've got an older Rem 700 that has some sentimental value. I've hunted with it for years but would like to spruce it up a little. I'm about to refinish the stock and figured I'd get it pillar and glass bedded while I'm at it.
What gunsmith that does this sort of work would you recommend within...
I prefer walking in with no light if there is some moonlight and I'm pretty familiar with the woods. Tough to not pull a light out when there's no moon.

In Mississippi I always buy a Sportsmans License and am covered for all seasons. There is no tag system, just bag limits to go by. You must have a valid hunting license but don't have to tag or check in deer that you kill.
.30-06 for me. Got a Ruger #1 and a Rem 700 that will get the job done. Also have a Marlin .30/30 that I love to shoot. Excited at the possibility of a rifle season!
