I had the pleasure of "helping" the wife with her gardeny stuff today. Made her some garden beds last week and got all the soil put in them today.
Lotta work on my part but she absolutely lives for this time of the year and gardening so it's well worth it. Now the rest is on her..
Finally...
It's frustrating because it is so easy to construct a simple backstop...
I put together a simple rimfire range with a load of dirt backed by sturdy wood in a few hours. I'm sure it could withstand more than .22 but I'm cleaning out brush to build one farther away from the house.mm
Stevens Favorite.
It's a falling block .22lr and simply a joy to shoot, for such an old and abused rifle the rifling is still fairly crisp and the action is tight.
Use the trade that my father and family passed onto me instead of wasting a year and $$$ in College to figure out it just wasn't for me.
Don't go to College would be pretty bad advice for high school grads though :):
Oh yeah and don't do the Copenhagen, you'll be hopelessly addicted.
Thanks for the tip, haven't heard of them before I'll give it a try. The house itself isn't surrounded by trees about a half acre or so is open but beyond that it's pretty much all woods.
Guess it can't hurt to have them come out and do the survey.
The wife has an obsession with wind chimes, I've slowly gotten used to them.
Been trying to clear out a more accessible trail to the back portion of the lot where I shoot and want to put one of those fancy sheds there for man stuff. It's been a PITA but it'll be worth it...
Does anyone here...
Heard about the Banquet from a co worker a few days prior but it was too late for me attend sadly.
Fantastic luck on the prize! It's a great feeling, few years ago I won a S&W 1911 from a gunshow raffle and it still brings back the excitement looking at it.
Agreed, I'd be looking at something like a Polaris sportsman or something similar.
Have no experience with a Geo Tracker but I used a 1990 Ford Ranger for those exact purposes and it suited me just fine. They can be had cheap and are easy to work on with parts being readily available.

Been reloading for about 5 years. Have a Dillon 550 and recently acquired a Dillon 650, I load somewhere between 1k and 1.5k a month of various rounds. Have no idea how many I've loaded in total!
I primarily got into reloading to feed my addiction and have a fun at home hobby. It still is my primary purpose for reloading, to produce large quantities of consistent ammunition to shoot.
A side effect however has been tinkering with loads, and creating the best round for a specific firearm...
If you've got the dough and want one, go for it. They're fantastic shotguns but with that said it doesn't do anything a Mossberg 930 won't at a much more reasonable price.
I love rimfires, while I own a lot of centerfires it seems as if the .22s just get the most love come range day.
I would recommend a ruger single six or a heritage rough rider as both can be had relatively cheap and can be shot qll day for very little.
If you wanted to go centerfire, I would...
The elusive pinl racoon has not shown itself sadly.
I am saving up my raccoons so that I may have a grand releasing of the raccoons at Jedis.
My efforts to train the raccoons to wear a tophat have sadly been fruitless
Yikes.
No kids for me, but the wife was adamant on having Easter at our new house so I'll have an onslaught of little ones here shortly.
My mom and dad arrived early to help with preparations and after my dad and I hid the easter eggs snuck out back to bust clays and shoot the first .22 he got...
I agree. Had a Mosin because it was a very cheap andfun shooter and ammo was incredibly cheap, but with the increase in both cost of the rifle itself and the ammo I have to ask why? Traded it and a little cash for an older Winchester and couldn't have been happier.
You can still find...
I've had a CPX2 for a few years, really not a bad gun at all. I got it in trade for mechanical work, only put a couple hundred rounds through it but it didn't hiccup. it's a copy of KelTec P11 and will use the same magazines IIRC
Not anymore desirable, it was just a thing Rossi did once
Upon a time but no longer have. Couldn't tell you when or why but probably a cost cutting procedure.
