This is a true story.
As I was loading my grocery bags into my car in the Bloomington Walmart parking lot tonight, a minivan stopped short behind me. I figured the driver must have decided he wanted the open spot beside my car, but instead, he exited his vehicle. Coming around the front of his...
Hi all! I was turned on to this site after reading a post on 14WFIE.com. All INGO members are going to Mesker Park Zoo on Saturday Sept. 24, 2011. All members are going OC to protest the gentleman that was escorted out by police for legally OC'ing. Some sheep called the law and cried like babies...
Anyone want to join me and visit the zoo next weekend??
14 News, WFIE, Evansville, Henderson, Owensboro - Gun incident at Mesker Park Zoo causes controversy
Apparently, our nation's legacy of American exceptionalism is alive and well, as demonstrated by those common, law-abiding Californians who have chosen to stake their names, faces, and professional reputations in the name of defending that which is greater than themselves--the basic...

So I had been open carrying for my 2nd day at Brown County State Park and this DNR officer drives around camp at like 8PM and pulls over at the campsite I was staying it. He lights it up with his brights and tells me to put my pistol away. When I asked why, he tells me that its only conceal...
Howdy All,
I've been spending a lot of time reading through the "Where did you OC today?" thread and I was wondering if I could hear from some people that live in/visit Bloomington and open carry. I live in Bloomington as a student at IU, so I can't carry (open or concealed) most of the time...
Critique this as you see fit.
What I hear is a guy being approached for open carry, berated, proned out, bullied, and treated like a domestic terrorist. For the legal, non-violent act of OC.
The cops apparently are so vehemently anti-rights it makes me puke in my mouth.
Then they discover...

At approximately 2200 hours on 11 MAR 2011, I entered Buffalo Wild Wings on Dupont Road in Fort Wayne with a friend and a friend of his whom I had only met that night.
The restaurant was not busy, so we quickly were seated at the table closest to the north east corner of the building (not...
Here is an absolutely excellent article about the way we "gunnies" are trying to advance "the cause" from a retired* Marine living in Florida and doing his best to get Open Carry legalized there.

I was standing right out in front of my apartment on the West side of Bloomington just before 11pm tonight, and three guys came walking down the sidewalk, talking loudly, one of them OC'ing a .38 in a cheap holster. The impression that they gave was very much one of looking for trouble. My...
Ok, I've had my permit for a while, got a handgun of my own now, and FINALLY found a good holster for it, but some recent events have led me to some questions... Here are the events.
Got my holster and got it set up how I wanted it, and realized 2 things tight off the bat...

In the state of Wisconsin the ONLY legal way to carry a weapon is to carry it openly. There is no legal way for civilians to conceal carry. So if you choose, or if you need, to carry a weapon then you must do so openly and in plain sight.
5 men did exactly this thing, they openly carried...
