I own one and it locks up pretty solid. I don't see any potential for a pinch point. It seems like a place to catch dirt and-or become a possible pinch point.
Took mine out this morning and the son and grandson put about 700 rounds through it. I replaced the sights with Williams Firesights and man is this thing on the money.
The sights are not that hard to replace as long as you know which way to remove them.
Is that from left to right, looking from the rear?
Thanks!
Use a brass punch and some muscle
Seems to be the same plastic one on the newer models from the outside.
This is my first 1022 but Im planning on either replacing the internals or just dropping in a kidd once i decide if i want a 1 or 2 stage.Yes, this is my first plastic housing model.
Not thrilled about about it, but the takedown options make up for it.
