    Could be anywhere
Also, any 1911 slide should work on it....45 1911 Military Style Slide

While we may all scratch our heads on this I've seen far worse things done to weapons for reasons only known to the person who tried to do them. One was a 'tacticooled' version of a k98 Mauser that was such an abomination the LGS was almost giving it away...I almost bought it just so I could end its pain.

Either one of those would be a massive improvement.

To the OP, does the thing shoot straight and feed reliably? If so, I'd call Allen...

I've only shot around 10 rounds through it since I've had it, it wouldn't return to battery on 5 of them, so I installed a Wilson spring kit in it thinking they were just old and weak, but I haven't taken it back out. Also it looks like the front sight is off center a little, almost bent left. I'm not sure if it would be worth fixing or not, what do you mean by "doing a melt on it? Thanks for all the help guys!!

Due to the bent sight I am voting for. "Oh poop I just ran over my 1911 in the gravel driveway. Hmm wonder it I just put gouges over the entire slide and make it look like I meant to do that!":dunno::laugh:

A melt is taking all the squared edges off and blending.

    Where are you located...???

PM me if you would like.

find a used slide peen the rails or lap it if its tight and shoot the crap out of it......
I concur with this logic and thinking.
OR.... take a small grinder to it with a fine grit wheel and take that crap off as best possible.
I'm laying money that Allen or other skilled types can put a good look to this slide.
