Small little gal, maybe 30-35 pounds. Pictures didn't turn out very good.
Shot her out at 100 yards in the hayfield.

Interestingly enough, I shot one back on 11 SEP 10 and now today 10 SEP 11. Both were shot in the same coner of the field, too.

Younger brother shot one back in May or June, but the fields were way too muddy to recover him before the buzzards found him.
So that's only 2 this year, seems slow.

Some nice yote pics on here. There are a bunch running around my place. About a month ago I had a huge yote walk through my front yard in the middle of the afternoon. It was as big or bigger than my male lab.

I am hoping to get a few yotes this year. Just got into hunting them last year when I saw a white one running around the property. I called it and another in by just meowing like a cat. Never took a shot at either but I went back after late bow to hunt them but never got any to come in.

I will be bringing my .308 along with me during bow season. Hoping to get the white one.

That's quite an array of pelts!

I am chagrined to say, I've not yet waxed my first 'yote. I've only been hunting with intent one time though (a few years ago).

Not sure that is legal, check up on it first.

If its bow season I will not enter the woods without my EDC. With all the reports of cats being spotted in Indiana and all the coyotes I've seen/heard no way I'm only going to enter the woods with a bow.
I understand there is a difference between my handgun and a rifle but it is still a firearm during archery season.

Well the way I understand it, is that having an EDC with you is okay as long as you have a LTCH. However it is not really clear on whether or not carrying a long gun along with a bow is legal. I would not advise doing so, as you may be looked at as poaching, but that just my opinion. This was copied directly from the DNR Game Book. Page 6...

"Carrying firearms: An individual must not
possess a handgun while hunting deer or
while accompanying the youth hunter during
the youth season unless the individual
possesses a valid unlimited license to carry
a handgun issued under IC 35-47-2; or is
not required to possess a license to carry a
handgun under IC 35-47-2-2. It is not legal
to take a deer with a handgun except during
the firearm and muzzleloader seasons and in
    compliance with DNR regulations."
