Its going to be interesting. The patsies have really spent on FAs and I dont know where they got the cap room.
Im worried about our LB depth and how our new O line guys are going to do.
What worries me most is Polian is setting up Baby Bill to take over and Im more than a little skeptical he is up to it.
The Colts have a SB in them still but things will have to gel plus stay healthy.

I'm skeptical of winning on the road against Jax and Hou, and equally skeptical about losing to them both at home.
The ATL game is more likely a tossup. I'd be very surprised to beat the Saints. The Pitt game is winnable at home as is the Ravens game on the road.

Wonder how long it'll take that neck to be 100%? We're not winning much of anything until it is. Let's hope that OL jells before that neck gets re-injured.

Plenty to worry about; plenty to be happy about.

When I first composed the OP, I had them winning all the first in-division games and losing the second, but that piled several losses at the end of the season and I didn't see that happening.

10-6 is still my prediction on the season with yet another early exit from the playoffs.

In the Superbowl: Packers / Patriots. If it's not the Colts, I just hope it's not the Jets or Patriots.

I wonder/hope if Collie will have better duration than last season, I expect him to come out with vengence. Clark and Tamme I expect to see some crazy 2 TE formations. O line hopefully will be better and give payton more than .5 sec too make adjustments and allow him to make decent throws. Im concerned for the defense Freeney and Mathis cant realisticly be expected to hold it down every game, I wouldnt be surprised if somebody gets a torn biceps in pre season. But reguardless of how we do this season, New England still sucks and Brady swallows maybe this season he will come out of the closet.

I am good with that but htey wont lose to Baltimore or Houston at home. Im going 12-4, division title, 1st round playoff win, then loss in 2nd round @ New England

1st 5 minutes in every game will be lustrous high-light reels for the skill players. The next 50 will be mind-boggling mediocrity involving the ground game making you wish they had 8 year old Pop Warner leaguers out there instead of millionaires. Then 5 minutes, 55 seconds of come-from-behind heroics that will put Jim Harbaugh to shame.

And the Colts will proudly proclaim that Lucas Oil is their home, followed by Irsay and Polian violently denying that Lucas Oil Stadium is their home when questioned on the corporate welfare we here got Munsoned with.

Oh, 12-2 season, then 23-21 SB on a Freeney safety over the Redskins.

I think a 12-13 win season is very possible. IF the colts can stay healthy I think they can make a deep playoff run. Home field advantage throughout the playoffs will be a great help in making it to defend our home turf in the super bowl.

It will be a hard fought post season to make it to the suoer bowl. Jets and Pats stand out as the biggest playoff threats. (as much as I hate to admit it).

Wow. It's been 34 years since the NFL played only 14 games/season. And the Redskins in the SB?

I'm in for 13-3. I like IndySSD's picks except I'd swap Baltimore and New Orleans for the 3rd loss.

Bump this thread up for the first preseason game! I know its only preseason, but I cant help but getting excited because that means the season is coming. Anyone heard that the Colts may be trying to sing T.J. Houshmandzadeh? Supposedly he has been seen around the city dressed in suits (business talks?)

Are The Colts Going to Sign T.J. Houshmandzadeh? [UPDATE] - Stampede Blue

    Thoughts?

I would rather have seen the sign Moss or some depth at S, but I think he is definately solid for a 5th receiver if this pans out happening.

If he comes cheap it cant hurt, he could provide depth at a position that was devastated last year. But if healthy the Colts have a pretty stout receiving core without him.

Moss could have been a huge impact player or a huge bust, TJ wont be a huge impact player but could be a very solid 2 or 3 depending on how he plays and how Garcon and Collie play.

If Collie is healthy I am not sure he isn't the best WR on the team, he was clearly Manning s favorite target when he was in trouble before the concussions started.

    ^^Thats the way I see it^^

Moss would be a gamble, but if it were to pay off, wow. Peyton can make mediocre receivers look great so theres no end to what he could do with Moss. I know hes sort of out of his prime but he is still a solid wideout and would give defenses fits between him and Wayne, plus leave the middle open.

TJ on the other hand, solid receiver but Im not so sure hes anymore solid than anyone the colts have slated as starters now. He would definately come in handy if the colts had receiver problems like last year though.

Time will tell I suppose. Adam Sheftler said the deal is close with TJ and he seems to be an accurate reporter. Ive heard word that the signing would be announced tomorrow. Heck, it cant hurt us.

Also I agree with you, If Collie could be healthy all season that would be something to see, especially in the playoffs. There is no fear in that guy. That could have also led to all the concussions lol.
