A person can ask any price for something, if t is too high it won't sell. Supply and demand. You can put any term on it you like. I won't pay that price, but someone else is free to pay it if they ar. So inclined. It is no different than a group of workers going on strike for more money, and management replacing them with people glad to to do same job for the current compensation. I get called to go do fill-in work all the time, I quote them a price which is current industry standard, they offer me less and I tell them to call someone else.

Answer my question. Will you be the first one to hand over your gun? If not then you are just a hypocrite. If you cite the law as a reason to act a certain way and you ever break a law because you disagree with it then you are a hypocrite. You are as philosophically hollow as Paris Hilton and just as whiny when you don't get your way.

While I seriously doubt this will happen in my lifetime, to answer your question, NO, I will not be the first to hand over my arms.

When laws are nonsense, such as the ones you are advocating for price controls, yes there is something wrong with them. On top of everything, this isn't just a disagreement about how people should act. Mathematically and economically your ideas are flat wrong. Even Paul Krugman would probably agree with that.

Not once have I advocated the use of price controls, I did use as an example the low price of dairy products because of not price controls but subsidiaries to the farmer/producer. I pushed and still do refer to ethics within our sport just as has others here worthog & Fireman610 are 2 who come to mind.

It is not just speculation. You have brought up multiple times, the legal implications of what people are doing in peaceful, voluntary transactions. It is clear that you don't like what they are doing and wish for them to get snared up by some regulatory agency and end up in prison or face huge fines.

Second thought as you put it, ya maybe I do, but what is wrong with advocating a lawful & peaceful society versus a society of lawlessness. Seems pretty simple, but I guess if you wish anarchy why not move to the south side of Chicago or Mexico for that matter. You advocating a lawless society, right?

As far as my obsession with living in a "lawless" society, you misunderstand. I think private property owners should be able to set any regulations they want, some even far beyond what is permissible today. It would be "illegal" to carry a gun is some places if the owner deemed it so, but you could do whatever you wanted on your own land. No one would come carry you off to jail for shortening your barrel from 16" to 15.9".

So work at getting the laws changed instead of advocating breaking them. No society is going to make all laws perfect for everyone.

Its obvious what I think is right/correct is not entirely what you think is right/correct.

What I don't agree with is that if 51 people out of 100 in a fancy room in DC decide that they don't like something, even something peaceful, they send men with guns to forcibly change it.

Sorry but that is how our government works, if you can find another country, and there are many, that do it as you seem to wish, why not move there, being as our form of government seem so wrong to you.

My guess is that when these Liberal turds get some form of AWB and feel all warm and fuzzy inside that they have rid the world of all evil, the prices and supply will probably start sliding back to earth again...at least that's my story and I'm sticking to it.

snip....!'m very surprised, after reading all of it, that we have so many socialists here on INGO.

    Quite surprised.
I want this to stop so I am a socialist, again with that old saw. :ingo:

They aren't likely to get any sort of AWB, and frankly it is not something I would want them to get even if it stopped this stupidity. I fired off two more rounds of letters with emails and a few phone calls to the Senators Coats & Donnelly switchboards. You want them to get their ban so this will all end, what does that make you? Conservative? :dunno:

Prices will go down but not like before so stop dreaming. Furthermore, as much as you want it to be otherwise, ammo is our new battleground.

Don't ANY of you people read what the other side says? Does doing so make me a liberal-socialst hater of John Galt that wants free love and a chicken in every pot? Well, I''ll settle for Free Love again, that rocked. :rockwoot:

Know your enemy. They've figured out the easier way to "Ban" ALL firearms. Make ammo out of unobtainium so we can't fire them. Own all you want but you will have trouble finding the ammo as that is how they like it. Do you think they don't come here and read? You better believe they do, they've read Sun Tzu too. What we do so badly is stand as a group, we're our own worst enemies. What the Anti's do so well is act as one, speak with one voice, makes them far more potent than we are in the debate.

So again, I should try harder to take my own advice and walk away. I figure most of you read at most every tenth word and make up all the rest so it fits what name you want to call me this time. o do that for another three or four pages and maybe I'll pop back in the stir the pot again. That's isn't what I am trying to do but sometimes I like to say it first to try to steal a little thunder from the name callers among us.

Nobody seems to get the key point here. The guy isn't TRYING to sell anything. A friend came to him and said "I'll give you XX a brick for your ammo because I know you have a stash". The friend knows that XX is lower than online price, and that it is more than what the OP will be able to re-buy at at some point.

Thanks....I cant believe the thread is still going..

And for those wondering, I have not sold any .22LR...Wife will not let me! I love her.....:rockwoot:

You forgot to mention that it is steel case not brass. You are really putting the screws to people on that stuff.

so he really has this for sale? :@ya: guess I must not be noticing as I browse that area. :dunno:

My favorite was a guy wanted a dollar an empty case for .223 and $2/case for the 30 762x39 cases he had...

Good for both of ya' go for all the monetary gusto you can get. I mean it, I think that is fine. :yesway:

    Guns and Ammo

lol you must have not spoken to a single gun nut in the past 4 months cuz that is literally all you'd have heard about!

I'll keep it short and sweet: school shooting, obama threatens to ban some guns and stuff, people freak out, people by as many guns as possible, people buy as many mags as possible, people buy as much ammo as possible, supply runs out, demand is high, people start to pay crazy prices for said stuff...

I have an acquaintance that has been in the gun business for several years, small shop, somewhere around 100 hand guns.
30 or 40 rifles and shot guns, all hunting calibers, and says he will probably be planting flowers when his inventory is gone (can't get what he Needs) and start a flower shop. Says he will probably be out of the gun business in three of four years. Go figure..pessimistic? optimistic?

I was disheartened and furious when last week I was tooling around a shop and a lil guy about 6 (Proudly wearing his boy scout uniform) or so got his first gun a savage 22 bolt action, Dad says we need some ammo for that too! Clerk says we dont have any! the dad replies you dont have any 22 ammo!!??? Clerk... nope
As this convo is playing out there is a guy walking out the door w a BOX full of bulk packs. I stop the guy in the parking lot and say he bud there a lil boy scout in there picking up a Savage 22 think you would sell them a couple of those boxes Guy replies Yep 50.00 a pop :xmad: know this guy just paid 25.00 a pop I said come on do this kid a favor ..50.00 a pop is the price! I had a few choice words for him and told him to move on. I then went to my truck grabbed my bulk pack of GBs that I keep for random moments of need waited for them to come out and gave them to him. That kid was more excited about the ammo than the gun. Told him to practice good and win some patches his reply "Thanks Sir ... I will" my day want down the tube after that but I didnt care A kid was happy and thats all I thought about

    Very nice of you. :yesway:

I am not selling ammo here and there is no "warthog special". It was satire.

I'm gonna quit this discussion 8 times and then accuse you of twisting my words 5 times when I'm called out on it.

I don't ned your help so I never looked. My bad

Satire, sarcasm and other subtleties are often lost in a text only interface.

I went to three gun shops today and they had 22lr but at 10 to 11 dollars a 100. One of the shops had a sign saying limit 1 box of 100. The other 2 had a sign saying 2 per cusomer per day. Oh boy what a deal.
