    It is German manufactured 1943. I was told the Germans captured a large number of Dutch machine guns so they manufactured 6.5mm steel cased rounds for them during the war.


    Oh very very cool, did not appreciate that... Was looking, looks like they those Dutch Machine guns were Lewis guns to boot, Tres cool...

    I had even read that a few of those Lewis guns were captured and used in Imperial service, but I do not know
    what caliber they were in..

    Well, I went to the Richmond gunshow and the guy with the 6.5x53mmR ammo was not there. Hopefully no one wasted a trip. I didn't think to get his INGO screen name last time I saw him. Hopefully he will be back at Greenfield and Anderson next time. I did pick up a couple stripper clips of 6.5x54mm Mannlicher ammo at the show.

    Well now I feel better about not being able to make it to Richmond. I've got a box of the 6.5x54MS. I keep hoping I will find one of the Greek rifles that (I can afford) to go with it! :)
