Protip for when the corporate PR machines manage to pick their jaws up off of the floor:

They will, probably incessantly, try to talk about "offending the Chinese people" to justify kowtowing. In the US and many other Western countries, this may well be true as evidenced by our own outrage culture. In China, however, any major cultural concept is so heavily regulated by the Chi-com propaganda machine that the people's opinion literally is irrelevant. If Disney does something that "offends the Chinese People", that is code for "it will cause unrest or give our slaves cause to think beyond their station." The Chinese government gives the "People's" opinion for western media outlets. Period. See also,

Disney / Marvel: censored Tibetan monk from "Doctor Strange" and turned him into a white woman. Per the movie's screenwriter: "if you acknowledge that Tibet is a place and that he’s Tibetan, you risk alienating one billion people who think that that’s bull****".
The screenwriter is himself full of crap. 1 billion people largely could not give two craps who owns some random country on their border. The Chinese government, however, does. Ergo, "One Billion Chinese people" now care about Tibet.

While they all use their Chinese smart phones.

Transitions take time. We've been shipping jobs and manufacturing there for decades. Pressuring the companies is one of the early steps in changing the dynamic. Samsung has recently declared that they are no longer producing cell phones in China.

The chinese play the game to win, their leadership isn't interested in participation medals. What leadership we have left that hasn't been bought by them needs to wake up.

Steph Curry: “This situation, there’s a huge weight and gravity to it. There’s going to need to be some things to be sorted out. But I just don’t know enough about Chinese history and how that’s influenced modern society...This is not going away. So we’ll come back to it.”

Blizzard's website is currently unable to process requests for account deletion through 4 separate authentication methods. Literally dozens of people (particularly in the EU) are filing complaints for that oversight that could result in some hefty fines.

Also, Blizzcon is on November 1st. Good luck with that.

Also, Blizzard's official Chinese partner has just issued this statement on "Chinese Twitter" since real Twitter is banned in that craphole.

    https://www.reddit.com/r/HongKong/comments/dfkmp1/blizzards_official_weibo_account_just_posted_an/

For those who wish to read it here is the translation:

We are very angered and disappointed at what happened at the event and do not condone it in any way. we also highly object the spreading of personal political beliefs in this manner. Effective immediately we've banned the contestant from events and terminated work with the broadcasters. We will always respect and defend the pride of our country."

Always good to know which nation "their country" is.

Let me see if I understand this. It all started with a comment made on a social media platform that is blocked in China?

Get used to it, because this is how it's going to be for the next century. They have more people and more money than us, and our corporations are happy to be bought. The peak of free expression on planet Earth is behind us now.

Add another to the list of useless sportsball crap. Eventually even the rabid fans will tire of getting woke, and stop watching and buying.

In this the American Left and the Chinese Communists seem to share a disdain for liberty, unless officially endorsed.

Do you care who owns California, which is about as American as Tibet is Chinese? :dunno: Pretty sure most Chinese do care about Tibet, HK and Taiwan, even without the CPC encouragement.

CPC GlobalTimes here to lecture us all on how we should respect China more (even as they don't respect our own values/culture): http://www.globaltimes.cn/content/1166183.shtml

We should stop doing all business with the ChiComs and funding their dreams of world domination. Any company that bends the knee to their communist leaders for a short term profit should be punished here. The ChiComs are our enemies. Economic pressure will do nothing to shake their hold on power no matter how much their people suffer for it. The blood they will spill in their streets to retain their tyranny is just a shadow of what they have planned for the rest of the world in their power maddened dreams.

Their bioweapons units are working on ethnically specific weapons...we do not exist in the out years of Xi's China Dream.

Steve Kerr on if he's ever been asked about human rights during his previous trips to China:

"No. Nor has (America's) record of human rights abuses come up either... People in China didn't ask me about, you know, people owning AR-15s and mowing each other down in a mall."

Yes, yes... please equate America to ****in' China you dunce.

It's not possible anymore. So many things are ONLY produced in China now.
