I managed to get 250 rounds of 9mm delivered for $133. It was the cheapest I had seen in a while, and I only felt queasy buying at that price.

I'll be honest, I have all but quit shooting centerfire. I have just enough to keep each gun fully loaded, and that's about it. I can no longer afford to practice or take the kids out recreationally.

Does anybody know at what level these big price increases are happening? Is it incremental along the supply chain or is it coming from the dealers themselves? If by the time he gets it the price is 70.00 then I can't fault him for selling it at 80.00. I guess if people are crazy enough to spend that oh well.

I've heard the reason for the ammo price increase is the lack of pistol primers, so manufacturers are not able to produce new ammo?
Has anyone else heard this? Or is this completely off base?

When I was at the Shipshewana show last weekend I thought the prices had dropped a bit. Not enough to buy any but plain jane 9mm hardball was under $1.00 a round.

I just shook my head :ugh:, went home and loaded up 500 rounds.

Could not find my preferred hunting 30-06 rounds anywhere on line and all the local suppliers were out as well... Went directly to the Federal (manufacturer) site and ordered 4 boxes (20 rounds per box 80 rounds total... Shipping said 12-15 days. After 2 calls to customer service I finally received them 15 days late. $214.00 direct. $2.67 / round.
