    I've been advised against restoring it, as Im told it would damage the value of the gun. For now I'm holding on to it...the gf wants to sell it though so if I got the right offer I mighy part with it!

    oh, by the way, DO NOT RESTORE IT!!! That will kill the value.

    If you decide to part with it, let me know. I'd love to look at it and add a piece of it's age to my collection, especially since it's rifled. I'm sort of a history buff, especially as it relates to military, weapons, combat, and the U.S.
