Yes. I am a still board shooter. I go weekly. It is alot of fun. We call the turkey shoot though.

I've sighted some shotguns in for a gentlemen...he had me shoot his new rifle at the first match of the year because he hadn't been released from the doctor yet since his shoulder surgery.

I loved it.

He shoots at Austin and Bedford also. I hope to go again in a few weeks.

who holds the shoot in Austin? Can anyone pay to shoot/compete?

Yes, anyone can shoot there, it's open to the public. It's called Jennings township conservation club. It's about five miles to the east of Austin Indiana.

They do not have a website.

They shoot every Saturday night at 7:00 Cost is $3.00 a match, ten matches. Then there is a house match and a backwards buddy match. $45 for the whole night is what it comes too.

In two weeks they are going to move the targets in a bit and try a shorter distance for the one weekend. Right now they are set at 82 feet.

You can shoot your long gun of 60" all the way down to your 36" barrell at this place.
