The preservatives in many of our foods cause cancer....

You would be hard pressed finding a canned good that does not increase the risk of cancer...

It isn't the bacon - it is how it is preserved and stored.

Continually swallowing small amounts of saliva over a period of 70 - 90 years will eventually put an end to you too. Might as well eat bacon.

    Well.........
I quit drinking. It was bad for me.
I quit smoking. It was bad for me.
I'll be damned if I'm gonna give up bacon!!!!

(Unless it hits $4.00 a pound. Then the Farmers can eat it themselves. :n00b:)

Hell I never smoked.... only drank moderately heavily in college and I still wound up with cancer. I doubt that bacon is going to reduce my life expectancy any more than all the crap they plumbed directly into my arteries and the radiation they smoked my chest with.

You guys need to meet someone who has suffered from cancer.

Uhh... been there, done that. Got the bills, credit rating, scars and reduced life expectancy to prove it.

Everyone in the thread can direct questions to me then! :rockwoot:

Add me to that list! Rock on brother!:rockwoot: We're in it to live it!

    Forgive me...

    Step 0.5: Leave city.

I'm working on it.... funding and finding 5-10 acres is on my 5 year plan.

I decided long ago, eat right, don't drink, don't smoke, die anyway.

Pretty much! ^^ Don't get me wrong, I am trying to get into decent condition and I'm limiting my fast food intakes, trying to eat a little bit healthier but there's no dish I know of that's not better with a [STRIKE]little[/STRIKE] lot of bacon.

I read in "Cook This, Not That" that moderate alcohol consumption three times a week will make you five times less likely to have colo-rectal cancer. Just make sure that your bacon comes with a few serves of cold ones and you'll be fine.
    Wasn't there a thread around here about bacon-infused bourbon?:rockwoot:
So, a base-line of 1 + 21% for the bacon gives 1.21, and five times less likely from the booze gives...um....uh...dangit, who cares! Give me a drink and a Bacon sammitch.
