I don't get the relevancy to price fixing, and I don't think anyone else does either. It seems like you're just ranging further afield until you can get someone to engage in a debate on the topic nobody seems that interested in.

You should ask those that keep bringing up price in reference to the law I posted about that is above the time of selling, not the price. I then referenced some general excise laws to see if folks want to do away with them also.

You don’t have to participate in the discussion.

I think most of us would rather he did. We find his input valuable.
I do as well, my post was in context. He was said: “It seems like you're just ranging further afield until you can get someone to engage in a debate on the topic nobody seems that interested in”. To which I replied.

I find this an interesting topic, apparently more than most others here.

Whenever I hear talk about alcohol laws, I remember when I was working in a little town in Oklahoma in the late 80s. The first week I was there, a few of us decided to go to a pizza place on a Sunday evening. I had asked the waitress if I could get a beer, and she said "Sorry honey, it's Sunday, and we can't serve beer on Sundays". She then told me that, in Oklahoma, you can buy beer in the liquor store on Sundays, but not in a restaurant.

I laughed and told her, "I'm from Indiana, and in Indiana, you can't get beer in a liquor store on Sunday, but you can get it in a restaurant". She just looked at me and said "Well, that don't make no sense". I was going to say, "That's my Point" but all I could think was "You've got the most beautiful eyes I've ever seen". And then she just said "So......how 'bout a Coke?

KY will drive you nuts. Each county sets their own rules. A county can be completely dry, some mix of blue laws, or a relative free-for-all.

Many, many years ago was traveling and stopped in KY. Went in to a pizza place and asked what beer they had on tap. Waitress laughs and says, honey, this is a dry county. I didn't know what that meant so asked her, what's a dry county? She replies, no alcohol allowed here, heck, you gotta go to the next county 12 miles down the road to have any fun at all. So, ya leaving? I laughed and ordered a coke.

Reminds me of when I would travel to our South Bend location for work before sunday package sales were a thing again.
If I had to go up on a Sunday to be there first thing Monday, I'd check into my hotel on 31 just north of the tollway. I'd then drive a few miles north. Just across the border was a liquor store. I;d buy a couple beers for the evening and drive back across the border to relax in my hotel room.

    I showed them! LOL

I'd just like to effing buy cold beer from a grocery store, or convenience store, liquor stores charge a premium for keeping it cold...If people are going to drink and drive with cold beer, they can do it from a package store just as easy.

It is all about the sales playing field between the competing types of companies. You think the grocery or convenience store is not going to charge a premium for cold beer? I would expect if they can they will charge the market price.

I travel to OH regularly and buy beers to relax in my hotel in the evening. I dont see a difference between cold and warm beer at Walmarts there.

Liquor stores here charge a premium because they have a monopoly on cold.
