    I saw this. Met Junior at the Atlanta race in maybe 86 and at a few other races Venues. He was a seriously cool character.

    And I would lay odds that if this were the mid 80's this place would be rife with fans of NASCAR. But not now.

    Yeah Its a dying sport, no pun intended. I would never of missed a race in the 80s, 90s, and even early 2000s. Nowadays if I have absolutely nothing else to do, then I'll watch.

    Man that sucks. I saw a documentary recently that showed how much he changed the sport. A lot of rules in the books are due to his pushing the boundaries. The sport needs more Jr Johnson’s and less Joey Loganos.

    They need to loose the existing rule book ad put the J. Johnsons back on the pit wall.

    Th Revel model kit race cars and strangling rules have devastated the sport.
