I agree with, Chuck.

While the small size is very appealing trait, there are MANY other attibutes to be considered.

1) DB reduction.
2) Materials.
3) Modularity (Can it be dissasembled for cleaning.)

Those are just a few of the basic questions, and while interesting, not the most important.

But to answer your questions,

1) Dry - hearing safe across the board. On bolt gun dead silent. On semi auto quiet. On pistol, hearing safe. Wet - on pistol, pretty doggone quiet. Haven't metered it yet.
2) Aluminum
3) Of course

Here are a few more questions I would ask.

1) What is its intent?
2) Does it introduce any new technology or is it just a me too?
3) What can you do with it?
4) What can't you do with it?
5) How long will it last?
6) How much does it cost?
