The whole concept of the ignore feature seems odd to me. I am perfectly capable of not reading someones post if I chose to ignore them. :dunno:

I fought it off for years and years. Finally a couple of really smart fellows convinced me of how much better INGO is using the ignore feature. They were correct.

Thanks for quoting me, so others can see my post as well.

I guess I don't bother with the hot topic threads unless I'm going in to stir the pot anyway, so most of the people that other members would ignore don't really bother me.

Some people's entire worldview is predicated on ignorance. If they read and concern a differing opinion, then they might change their own view - change is an anathema in their worldview.

There is no way to read that post without taking the user off of ignore, then returning them to the list.

You can use an "incognito" tab to see it. I put you on my ignore list and tested it. I copied/pasted the thread URL into the incognito tab (so I'm not logged on to INGO in that tab) and could see it fine. Pretty easy on a computer, maybe less so on a phone.

Alternately, some people just aren't worth listening to or dealing with (in both meaning, talking to or conducting transactions with).

Youre clear the president isn't a member here right?

I think you are overestimating the level of discourse of some people.

I agree. There's a couple of members in this thread I have on ignore and my INGO life is so much better without them!

Thank you! What a great workaround.
