All three have the same problem, big cities calling the shots for everybody

Seems like states need to adopt a system similar to the electoral college for statewide offices like Governor so every district would have equal say in statewide representation

    That's kinda cool, actually. :)

It'll be an administrative nightmare if we ever actually have people there, but still....

    WOW!

The bishop sparked outrage when he was seen on video in June saying homosexuality could be transferred to the unborn if their mothers had anal sex while pregnant. He also said homosexual men have a “distinctive stink” from sleeping with other men.

I thought only fundamentalist could get sex so wrong.

The always legendary Internet Historian has done a new video on Harold Camping and the prediction of the end of the world on May 21st, 2011... and everything that went along with that.

There's a NordVPN ad about halfway through, you can jump to 12:23 to skip it.

    Mild language

Oh wow. Is that like camping out with Harold Camping?
If you were riding down the highway of life and trying to see where you fit in, well, that was one strange guy.
And just where did the funding come from? Not just radio shows but the billboards from sea to shining sea?

Reminds me of the thin man movie where the NY cops find a revolver in the dresser drawer...
Police Lieutenant: "You ever heard of the Sullivan Act?"
Mrs. Charles: "Oh, that's OK. We're married."

Wow - impressed at the reference. I should watch those... I've only seen pieces.

I'm still digging out from under our move in 2014.
Was looking for a book that I darn well know I have, "The Brotherhood Of Darkness".
Instead came upon the works of one Kenneth Morris (1879-1937), a theosophist Welshman of a hundred years ago who produced what would these days be referred to as fantasy fiction. His works come to us from a different world view, a different religion and therefore a different reality. Reading his stories presented a challenge to wrap my brains around.
Common frames of reference are so very necessary even when someone isn't trying to hide meanings from the uninitiated.
So, do you experience the same problem in trying to find those glimmers of understanding with people who live in a different place? Heh, sometimes I think each one of us does and it is only self censorship that lets us be the successful herd animals we are. So hey, has anyone read Kenneth Morris? Or perhaps examined the theosophist beliefs?
