How does the state own a piece of a private company?

Yup....colt is screwed for as long as the unions and CT owns part of them

As for the All American 2000......nope....it happened. Can't drink that debacle away

One of the many times Colt declared bankruptcy the state put up the money and bought part of them

The majority of colt's problems have nothing to do with Conneticut or the union. It comes from poor shifts in ownership and bad management.

They seem to be still going down that path with the Expanse line.

Such a shame but not a surprise. It seems like they stopped innovating in about 1980. I just bought a new Colt Commander a couple months ago. I was a little wary because I've heard spotty reports on quality but I'm very pleased with it thus far. Fit and finish is excellent and it loves hollowpoints. I think bringing back the Colt Cobra and a inexpensive AR are good moves on their part for the future.

I agree, the Colt products I have that were made this year and last are great, and reliable.
