at least they are staying in the states! Florida, right to work state lower labor costs, no state taxs, more than likely tax abatements for the building and equipment meaning saving even more money for a few years. But do you really think they will forward some of those savings to their customers? Don't hold your breath.

Do they have to get approval from Obama? Remember what his NLRB did to Boeing when they wanted to build in South Carolina...

This is good news!! Makes me want to run out and buy a Colt. CT is a socialist state. Let the makers leave and the takers stay.

    Right to work!

This is evidence of a real issue with the misnamed "right to work" debate. To begin with, it should really be called the right to work without having to pay union dues. Businesses looking to relocate will avoid states which do not have a "right to work" law like the plague! It's called economic development when a state pursues such businesses. Economic development is crippled by unions which refuse to recognize the fact they are a large part of the problem. They'd rather be out of jobs altogether than have a job that doesn't keep them on the gravy train. One of these days, the unions will go broke from paying workers who are laid off (just another form of welfare) and the light will come on in a lot of union "workers' " heads.

Good on Colt! I wonder if any union fat cats are paying attention. I know darned well the union workers who will be losing their jobs are!

Bam-Bam's approval will be automatic as long as they promise to hand-carry at least 25% of their products to Mexico. ;)

Or have certain parts built in factories overseas, and THEN brought to the US, just for assembly.

And that guy was supposed to be the smartest man in the room?

I have long wondered why so many gunmakers insist on staying in such hostile (toward both the RKBA and corporations) states. IL, MA, NY and CT come immediately to mind. I understand that in many cases there is tradition and heritage and such associated with the location, but if it gets in the way of running a successful business, what's the point?

Now, if only Springfield Armory (among others) would get their butts in gear and move to Indiana (or at least get out of Illinois).

Or the retaliation against Gibson guitars for moving out of Michigan (a heavy union state) to Montana and Tennessee (both right to work states).

You know they moved in the 1970's right?

BTW S&W just reupped in MA and got massive tax breaks from Obama's Chicago buddy Deval. ( Ironic that I can't but an XD in MA)
