    Exactly!

Interesting fact about the microstamp on color copiers.
Not just color copiers. A great many modern printers and copiers do the same. Even on black and white printouts.

So, if you register your printer with the manufacturer for the warranty, they can easily tie printed output back to you.

way back in the dark ages when be leased it(10 years ago) the quality of professional copiers made the cost so high, "people" couldnt afford them, buisness's could! and way back then your "home" printers couldnt make a good enough copy to need to be microprinted.

but now days, the quality of a home printers is so high, and the costs are so low, are some of reasons we've gone from 18 employees to 4!, and the three largest printshops in evansville are out of buisness!

If they're going to put so much effort into it, why not reproduce and exact image of the card and other literature instead of trying to recreate it and make errors in the process?

The white paper inside that has the directions on is in fact just a photocopy.

That was cool about the microstamp thing but I don't think that would discourage the Chinese that are already knocking off everything else. I'm betting it has something to do with their cheap copiers or software or something. I could be wrong though.

The Chinese counterfeit thing is a huge problem, and it really pisses me off. I'd personally rather have my 8 dollars back and not support a growing criminal industry.

It's worse than you could imagine. I know someone that went to China to inspect parts for their product then caught the manufacturer with a pallet of non-QC controlled parts from another cheaper manufacturer ready to ship to the USA. Even the real stuff gets faked.
