I was not implying the President DJT does his own taxes of course he has a team of professional tax people of he would or have been in hot water a long time ago. His father was known master at taxes not that he was filling out forms but managing the the process I am positive that knowledge was passed on to DJT.

Yes the tax code is used for a “advantage” taxes are very involved and some people do not use the codes to the fullest extent possible.
Its not illegal but when viewed by Socialist as gaming the system it is frowned upon even if perfectly legal.

Trump should have released his tax returns in the same manner as every other nominee in modern history.

You can't really blame people for believing something is there when Trump has done his best to behave like something is there.

It's not a requirement so I don't see the big deal.

If he does release them for whatever reason, people that don't like him now, still won't. People that do like him, still will. All that will happen is AOC and the like will TRY to dissect them to figure out how they've been oppressed by Trump again.

The President's legal team says that the same law Dems say allows them to get the President's tax returns from the IRS allows the President to also ask for tax returns also. As it has been explained the law is for officials to be allowed check on the IRS and be certain, particularly powerful people or companies are paying what they owe and are not getting deals. It is not for surveilling political enemies. If the courts allow this to start the end will be ugly, as both sides can play that game. Maybe Trump should ask for Soros returns first, this is not limited to elected officials, they can ask for anyone's returns if this Pandora's box is opened...

With so many swamp dwellers in DC I am surprised someone hasn’t leaked Trump’s returns yet.

Interesting the one would suggest that anyone using the tax codes is using them for "themselves" or to their advantage. Interesting because the codes are legally accepted, they are legal; no different that what anyone else would do

If Congress doesn’t like it they should change the tax code.

Bingo. I mean if they want to dig around in Trump’s finances then I think it’s only fair to open the books on other government officials for scrutiny.

After all the people have a right to know if government officials were unlawfully enriched by their positions. Right?

He doesn’t have to. There is nothing in the law that states that he has to release his tax returns. It is my understanding that as a candidate, he complied with all election laws. This is another witchhunt.

Every utterance of that was accompanied by the disclaimer once his tax returns are no longer under audit... which I understand is a perpetual state of affairs.

No illegality will be uncovered in documents he files with the government every year.

This is, at its heart, a fight about fighting and class warfare.

Unless the law required me to turn them over, I wouldn't either. Why should I?
