    Looks surely come into play, but only after reliability. There have been plenty of good looking guns that have failed because they had a reputation for being unreliable. Reliability trumps visual appeal but once reliability has been proven, looks play a big part of the appeal in a gun.

    You are spot on. The "new" Colt Python is a case in point, although it is having some initial hiccups.
