    I'm probably in the minority here, but I'm to the point where I prefer to just hang out in the backyard and play fetch to exercise the dogs, or at least go to a quiet trail where there are less dogs/#ssholes. Walking the neighborhood is stressful, always trying to avoid problems, dogs pick up on those emotions, even if we try to not show them.

    Every animal is different. I've been face to face with a large coyote that snuck up behind me and all he did was mark his territory. Yet I've seen my white shepherd go after people on her hind legs. AKC, raised right. Tunes everything out when she snaps. But real gentle with people she knows. Puppy play ground wasn't possible because of the dog flu epidemic when she was little. I doubt if that would have made a difference. She's just an over protective psycho 8itch.
