I do not think that was posted by A Christian but an anti-Chistian or athiest to lampoon both Christianity and Trump.

I am not an influential voice from the rihgt but I can assure you that as a Christian I am opposed to making Trump out to be any more than a man.

I have no idea what your opinion of the left making Obama out to be the mesiah, but I was also opposed to that.

... but just decided not to say anything.

Pretty basic for me, don't care for his personality but there it is. Love how he gets the libs worked up. Love the Gorsuch appointment. Look forward to him doing his best to protect us, reverse socialism, and oh yeah, get the libs worked up.

That's it for me. We can now sit back and watch Dddrees dominate the thread. 1,2,3...

Im not a fan of this view that a lot on ingo share. The them (libs) vs us (conservs). I dont like it going either way. The other political party isn't the ultimate enemy, there is a lot both sides should be able to agree on but too often folks care more about their team winning than positive outcomes.
Making the other side squirm should never be a goal, it's childish.

Very difficult when both sides disagree so passionately. Real hard getting there when people can't agree even when the obvious facts show Trump to be such a habitual liar and yet his supporters will even take point and disagree with that. If you can't even agree when it comes to simple little things like that it's very hard to see where any agreement can be possible.

My nephew has seriously speculated that he may be the anti-Christ. He does seem to raise Biblical responses from some people.

Indy, I understand your point, and I think it has merit.

I used that term deliberately. There are people out there comparing Trump literally to Jesus.

This is ridiculous, it should be ridiculed...not least by Christians themselves. This imagery exists because "Christians" spread it.

I take your critique seriously. The title stands. I hope this doesn't drive a wedge between us.

I am NOT, one of them .....

When he was elected I saw this :poop: storm coming.
When you promise to turn the ship so hard and so fast a lot gets displaced. A lot.
    Is he doing it properly...???

Who knows. I have never seen anything like this in my entire life. He was voted in to effect change. With change comes disruption. Those who are being seriously disrupted tend to scream the loudest. People will hang on to their power at all costs even to look idiotic. It is almost becoming fun to watch.

Let me tell you, my story .....

    I joined USMC, in 1977, ets, in 1981 .....

Jimmy Carter, was Pres., there was an Iran Hostage situation .....

Jimmy Carter, didn't know what to do ..... After all HE didn't want to start a WAR ..... (chicken in chief imo)

Nov. 1980, election, Ronald Reagan WON !!!!!

Sworn in in Jan. 1981, don't remember the day ..... probably 20th or 21st ...

I went home, that evening, and turned on the news .....

The man said, the Hostages, have been RELEASED .....

    I was a very HAPPY MARINE .....

    That day, I BECAME a REPUBLICAN .....

NOW, I will also say, I have been dissapointed, by same ..... (R) .....

But more GOOD STUFF, by R, than by "d" .....

    JMHO ..... YMMV .....

Trump, for example ..... Illegal border crossing DOWN .....

    Stock Market UP .....

    Unemployment DOWN ......

    Employment UP .....

    GOOD Supreme Court appoint .....

NO gun control, or ban .....

Only 6 months in office .....

Wonder how participation would go, in the political forum on INGO, if members were limited to three posts per thread per day?

A lot of the reason threads devolve is that they eventually turn into 4-5-6 of the SAME members who treat the threads as their own personal chatroom-like toy to argue as a sport.

In the politics forum here on INGO there is no such thing as posting one's opinion, then maybe answering a rebuttal or question, to sit back and read other's opinions. That runs a lot of folks off, who might otherwise participate.

I speak with INGOers all the time who have opinions, but wouldn't dare post in the politics section, having seen the rudeness and mannerisms in this section.

By comparison to other political forums/discussions this one is tame.

I think of Trump and just shake my head.
I just think Hillary was so distrusted and hateful that it led to Trump being elected Pres.
Donald Trump was elected POTUS and I'll give him a chance and hope he's good for OUR country.
I'm sure I'll get hate mail for saying this but I gave Obama a chance in his first term since he was elected POTUS.
It didn't take long before Obama destroyed any hope I had for him. He never did anything to make up for his actions and misdeeds.
Trump ***** slapped the Election Process. I'm NOT seeing either party take notice and learn anything from his election just yet.

That' the part I find most discouraging. There are a lot of lessons that can be learned by the parties, the media, and the people. Yet, I see very little evidence of any learning going on. If anything, everyone seems to be doubling down on the things that led to it in the first place.

As it should be on a gun owner's forum. Thank you for your good work! :ingo:
There are places more appropriate for the vitriol on the web. Ones that won't paint a whole group with the words of a few.

Now if we could just encourage participation in the politics section, instead of letting the half to a dozen regular arguers dominate the whole conversation all day every day?
