Band of Brothers gets my vote, even though it's not really a movie but a series. Also, Saving Private Ryan where that initial beach scene was breathtaking.
Some classic WWII movies, which I grew up watching with my father:
Tora! Tora! Tora!
The Great Escape
The Bridge on the River Kwai
The Guns of Navarone
That's the one. If you've not seen it, I highly recomend itFull Metal Jacket is my favorite.
I see We Were Soldiers on Netflix. It has Mel Gibson in it and came out in 2002. Is that the one that's listed several times in this thread or is there a different/older one?
If we're going old school, most of John Wayne's movies are at the very least good entertainment. Having seen them all, I feel qualified to comment as such.
Ok good. Will do.That's the one. If you've not seen it, I highly recomend it
Post #25 and nobody said PATTON??
I wholeheartedly agree. Well, except for "The Green Berets".
