I just bought a Beretta PX4 today. I'd been really drooling over the Glock 17 and had pretty much made up my mind that was what I was buying. But after man handling it and the PX4 (which admittedly has always intrigued me), I went with the PX4. It seemed to fit my hand better, and didn't make springy noises when pulling the slide back. The rotating barrel is a cool plus.

If you're not opposed to steel guns, may I suggest, Beretta 92FS, CZ75 and Browning Hi Power. I've had them all and they were flawless, but heavy.

92fs is a sweet shooting gun. I'm wanting a CZ75 at some point, and have a ww2 bring back Browning.

But as you said, you've got a Glock that you like I'd probably go with another Glock.

Going to buy a full size 9mm. Looking for all your feedback on what you think is the best gun around $600.

    Been looking at:

Glock 17, I have a Glock 22 and like it.

    S&W M&P

    Springfield XD

    Ruger SR9

    $600?

I'd go with a Browing Hi Power or Berretta in that price range.

Nice decision, I had the same decision to make and ended up with a FNX that I was able to find used, and spent the difference on two extra mags (the downside to an fnx, expensive extra mags and harder to find) but the M&P line is great. Enjoy!

I'm a day late, but Happy Birthday! Great looking gun, too. There is a lot to like in the M&P line of pistols and I will eventually add an M&P45 to the collection. Post up a range report when you get the chance!

I can't resist the change to post a pic of my new M&P9 I bought myself :D

about 4 months ago at a local gun show, I came across a new old (2004) Ruger model P94 9mm with 2 mags, for $310, out the door. So far no problems with it. A little heavy to carry, but fixed that problem buy getting a LC9.

I always recommend the glock but those are all good choices. Find what fits you the best and you cant go wrong.
