It will work. There is plenty of room for the zip tie to fit in that holster. You could also bring a backpack and just put it in there until you are ready to leave the show.

Trying to picture how they'll zip-tie the Ruger Old Army I'm bringing... Heh.

Not sure I'd need to declare it, by law it's a "non-gun" being a muzzleloading revolver and all... LOL. (Doubt I'd get away with it though)

We went today, a bit later in the day as it was my first 1500 and we didn't know how long my stamina would last. We had a GREAT time! Next time we're definitely going to go much earlier, so I can "browse", while the hubby person (BOR) looks for stuff HE's interested in. I particularly liked the purses with the built in holsters.

There was a TON of stuff, and the first place we stopped was the INGO booth. I got to meet several of the mods, and LovemyWoods is a real sweetheart! His son is a great guy as well! I got to meet VUPDBlue, Scutter, Spasmo, and a whole bunch of people I've only gotten the chance to talk to/with on here. What a great bunch! We went to look at all the stuff, and came away with a whole bunch of great, new friends as well! At least I did, BOR already knows all of them.

We picked up some "swag", and I got my first INGO hat! YEA! Some patches, and a bunch of other stuff as well. And BOY was the booth in a great location!
Just to the right of the main entrance.

We browsed, and I finally got to meet Jeff Johnson, of Johnson Safes, and he's terrific! And he not only makes and sells very high quality, extremely well made, custom gun safes, he makes candy too! YUM! LOL We munched on Dark Chocolate Malt Balls as we wandered thru all the other booths. I got to meet "Knife Lady", and we share a common interest, Cutco Knives, which altho rather expensive, are positively the best kitchen knives on the planet. We sat together, along with Spasmo, at supper, and the 3 of us had a great time. I know I sure did! And yes, I'm VERY excited, we had a blast! I'd love to be there tomorrow before it opens, just because it's opening a little late, they're "imploding" a building a few blocks away, and I haven't seen anything like that since the bomb many many many years ago that leveled Harveys' Hotel & Casino, in State Line, NV. That bomb was so huge, it couldn't be defused, and took out the whole place, and some of the other businesses around it as well, including parts of Harrahs front windows and some of the slots located there.

All in all, we definitely had a great time, met a bunch of wonderful people, and next time I'm bringing a whole bunch of spending $$$ so I can buy stuff (like a holster for my .380) as well. It was (as my daughter would call it) "Majorly Cool"!!!

So, by all means, GO, you won't regret it, I know we didn't, and we'll go again....and again....and again..... it's a great way to spend the day!

    Happy Shopping!

Speaking of locations, I don't think I ever saw Blind Horse, where were they?

I think Black Owl had the worst location, all the way in the back corner and having to sit there and smell the sweet scent of roasting almonds and cashews all day, LOL.

I was closer to the smells than Tyler! Managed to make it through the weekend on a bag of cashews and a pair of turtles!

We're always set up next to Bryan Ciyou's "Indiana Firearms Reference Manual" booth. We're always against the wall, not in the main rows.
Gotta apologize to Brian, he tried to hand me a flyer, thought he was with INGO. And that's were I was headed. Kinda waved him off cause I was on my cell talking to my brother. Hope he did not think I was rude. I can only multi task two things at one time.
