Who the heck is Proctor and Gamble to lecture anyone else about ethical behavior? That's just rich. Too bad they can't focus that totally legitimate moral outrage by helping the children and slaves that harvest their palm oil in Malaysia. Nah...better to change the world* with an advertisement for overpriced shavers.

    Lol.

What is wrong with this video?

    Nothing.

People have been mad that boys aren't being right. That they're raised the same as little girls now.
A lot of people here were mad about that.
this video says that boys should be raised to be men.
The same as a lot of our fathers did (and a few mothers for those in single parent houses).

Now everyone's hung up on "toxic masculinity".

Sexual Assault in the United States
    https://www.nsvrc.org/statistics

    • One in five women and one in 71 men will be raped at some point in their lives (a)
    • In the U.S., one in three women and one in six men experienced some form of contact sexual violence in their lifetime (o)
    • 51.1% of female victims of rape reported being raped by an intimate partner and 40.8% by an acquaintance (a)
    • 52.4% of male victims report being raped by an acquaintance and 15.1% by a stranger (a)
    • Almost half (49.5%) of multiracial women and over 45% of American Indian/Alaska Native women were subjected to some form of contact sexual violence in their lifetime (o)
    • 91% of victims of rape and sexual assault are female, and nine percent are male (m)
    • In eight out of 10 cases of rape, the victim knew the perpetrator (j)
    • Eight percent of rapes occur while the victim is at work (c)
Well, if that's true, that .1% (or even that 1%) sure get around. And I'm sure you can quibble with the statistics above, but even if they are off by an order of magnitude, your statement of the number of men out there who are the problem is massively understated.

I agree'd with you about this video not being "bad".
But then you put these stats out.

1 in 5 women, was collected at 2 campuses, and rape was considered in cases of a woman not wanting sex, but doing it anyway. No on said no.
Or women that changed their mind the next day.

It happens when an entire group is condemned by the actions of a small subset of that group.

Well if the people triggered do the things depicted in that video, then they probably should be condemned. If it doesn't apply to them then..... :coffee:

    From the Urban Dictionary

    TOP DEFINITION
    Toxic Masculinity
Any Male action that doesn't conform to liberal ideals of what a man SHOULD be in today's society. If he isn't sensitive and emotional and docile he is accused of toxic masculinity. Where as used to these people were known as "douche bags" or even "*******s" (see also Twunt) now they are blamed for being a product of the male driven society

Person one: "See how he puts other people down all the time? He's a product of Toxic Masculinity.
Person two: "Nah, mate...he's a fecking twunt is what he is...needs his arse kicked."

    :dunno:

Does that really apply to the situation? If that's the case, it should apply to ALL groups and sub-groups that feel this way? The PC indoctrinating staff created all this crap. Division by affiliation. Masculinity, feminism, black, white, asian, political association, Trump, Hillary, Obama, racism, white privilege........

Males who stand up to this Gillette stuff are using the same argument as any other group, but here you are.....suggesting we are over reacting and should just "let it be" (my analogy).

I do think that things are getting worse, and will continue to do so, and it has more to do with feminism than masculinity.

A mother can't teach a boy to be man, by example, yet more and more boys are being raised primarily by their mother.

These boys never mature into men, but that doesn't stop them from impregnating more women, and the cycle repeats.

If you don't socialize a dog and teach it how to be a dog, then it turns out to be a pretty ****ty dog. If you don't teach boys to be men, they turn out to be pretty ****ty men. That's not terribly hard to understand. The root cause of all of this is the post-modern rejection of Christianity and Judeo-Christian values. People have made themselves into their own gods. That means no judgment, but it also means no guidance, no solace, no sense of being or worth. Logically, you can't find worth any higher than your current position, if you believe you are the ultimate arbiter of your existence. Anywho... Until men start holding themselves accountable to a higher power, again, and raising the next generation to do the same, this train wreck of delayed adolescence will continue and will increase. Until women recognize that masculinity is just as laudable as femininity, it's going to be very hard for men to want to be better.

I strongly disagree. A single mother can certainly teach a boy to be a man, at the very least, on to being a gentleman. While good male role models make things much easier, they aren't a requirement.
