    Terrible things, wow.

"Jay has a permit to carry a concealed weapon. Everything was on the up-and-up," Chupp said."

However, where did he get one of those?

Sad indeed, and prayers go out to the family. Sounds a lot like many of the tragic incidents that take place during deer season as well. Each year you hear of a number of hunters who are shot (and often killed) by their own guns when they are dropped out of the tree stand and land on the butt end.

This is really sad. I wish they would say what kind of handgun it is. Most nowadays are drop safe, both semi autos and revolvers. Could have been a cheap Lorcin or something like that, those things are unsafe straight from the factory.

Might have been a cheap budget revolver without a transfer bar or something. Heck who knows? Sad deal irregardless.

I have a seven year old, I have always practiced gun saftey around and teaching her. I can't even understand what this dad is going through. I hope from the tragedy maybe something good can come from it. I know I will re-exam what I'm doing, I will be praying for them.

From personal experience I can tell you it is very hard to bury a child.
My thoughts and prayers are with the family. I hope the father will be able to find peace within himself and move forward.
