I've got friends in Israel and they have several children in the IDF. Over 5000 rockets fired at Israel so far. Humas is capturing and beating soldiers to death in Gaza and mutilating corpses. I haven't heard from my friends, I'm sure they are worried.

Woke up last night to a string of text messages from family in Tel Aviv. The good news is that the whole family is accounted for and currently safe...however they are preparing the shelter for an extended stay.

Make no mistake…this is the Israel that Netanyahu and the right-wing zealots want…an Israel under constant physical attack...it appeals to their Zionist ideology.

The political situation in Israel is far more complicated and divided than the media lets on...a significant portion of the Palestinian population is Christian, and they receive the same awful treatment from the State as their Islamic counterparts do.

The average Israeli and the average Palestinian want exactly the same thing: to live their lives in peace.…the problem isn’t the citizenry, it’s the leadership. The citizenry wants compromise, the leadership wants conquest.

This is what happens when we let the zealots choose our path for us…never-ending “holy” war. This type of behavior is untenable, and will ultimately be the end of the Israeli experiment.

This is the result of the mass formation psychosis the liberal progressive left has been causing in Israel for the past 10 months. They were perceived weak, and they were too busy fighting each other.
