Yes, no, yes, yes, and I'll add it's fairly poor form to even ask.
Oh? Why do you say so? And why did you participate?
I disagree. There are a TON of videos and written accounts out there about this very subject that get watched and read all the time. Clearly, many folks are interested in this subject - rightly so.
Further, how would one learn from others without asking them about their experiences? How would one expect to gain any insight into really difficult situations without the wisdom and experience of others?
I'm going to buy a hand gun and carry it for my own personal protection. I want to ensure that I educate myself as much as I possibly can - that includes (hopefully!) but isnt limited to learning from others who have been there before (which, again, thank you to everyone who has shared).
I believe many are making reference to putting this out on the net. It is forever. If something happens down the road and I would have to defend myself the posts I might make in this thread or the site in general could and would be found and analyzed as to my general nature. That may not help me if I was defending myself against a staked deck. Meaning it is their deck and they stack it.
Yes, we all want to learn. Post away. But remember it is for ever.
internet forum posts are like herpes, they never really go away
