    I would love to see an end to school GFZ but once the local media picks up on this and then the national media the scaremongering will be out in force big time.

    Not to mention, how likely would this pass the Senate and I have my doubts Holcomb would even sign it given some the legislation he has advocated for, e.g. hate crime laws.

    Holcomb is a snake in the grass and cannot be trusted.

    Do we know who will be speaking at the hearing on Monday?

    I'm planning on being there (my boss is hard to catch and I'm working from home today so I can't ambush him like usual). I don't know if we have any big-hitters. If Coach could make it that would be great.

    Edit: I'll be there Monday.

    The GFSZA has a exception for LTCH holders.

    (iii)that is—(I)not loaded; and

    (II)in a locked container, or a locked firearmsrack that is on a motor vehicle;

    (iv)by an individual for use in a program approved by a school in the school zone;

    (v)by an individual in accordance with a contract entered into between a school in the school zone and the individual or anemployer of the individual;

    (vi)by a law enforcement officeracting in his or her official capacity; or

    Making arrangements to be there.

    Delete a few from your PMs Coach. You are over the limit.

    As far as you being there: OUTSTANDING!!

    Edit: they usually take public testimony. Come a little early and fill out a sheet. They call you, you speak, they may ask questions, lather-rinse-repeat.

    Inbox has been cleansed.
    Sub has been arranged. May cost me a day's pay, but we shall see.
    I will be there early.

    I would be happy to make a small donation to your lost day fund if need be. You are better suited at this than I am.

    It is official. Costing me a days pay. I appreciate the gesture but I will bear this cross.

    Passed 8 to 2.
    Kelly did a great job. I hope my contributions helped.

    I hope what I said to channels 13 and 4 helped the cause.

    This bill is good, however the immunity provision seems too broad to me. I'm OK with some measure of immunity, but it should not include conduct that is reckless or involves extreme negligence just because the use of force began in a justified manner.

    I wish I could have made it but I ended up driving for Uber too late and didn’t get to bed until 4 AM. Any amendments? Or does that happen at the second reading? Eliminating GFZ on school buses or school properties would be terrific but I see that falling by the wayside once the wrangling begins (if it hasn’t happened already).
