Title to thread should be changed from "Banned From Restaurant for CCW" to "Banned From Restaurant for Unholstering AT THE BAR"

There are many reasons anti gunners are trying to **** on us and take our rights away. Don't give them any more reason. What a bad move man.

There I was, at the bar... pounding down a few, I upholstered my shiny 45, jacked the slide back, minding my own business...... and like, whats the problem? what could possibly go wrong???? Oh , and could you bring me another double? And put some damn booze in it this time !

Poor guy, you have taken a beating. I couldn't help jump on the bandwagon!

I'd like to see pictures of your upholstered 45. And the fact that you were able to do that while standing at the bar... Awesome!!

OK BUCKO....Go ahead and push back. And I, as the owner, might just push back to match you:
I'll call the police and have you formally trespassed.

If and when you show up with your company, I'll make a point of introducing myself to your company owner. And I'll tell him 1) you carry a GUN, 2) Were seen in my bar "waving your GUN" and 3) Don't hold your liquor well.

And hey...just for grins....depending upon how pissed off you really pushed me.... I might call all the TV stations and complain about how xxxxxx (you)a GUN TOTING so and so is complaining because I won't let him come back into my bar and drink liquor. And the reason is: he drank too much and started "waving his gun about." And I'm sorry, but I just have to protect my customers from these GUN NUTS. STOP THE INSANITY!!!!

Do you really want Rafael Sanchez, Channel 6 snorting up your azz?

All I'm asking is, be careful what you wish for. :ingo:

You're just as much a part of our problem as the op is. I'd neg rep you if it still existed. Go ahead pile on and get your cheap shots. Sounds like you're just a whiner to me

Tried to rep you/me but I got some socialist message saying I had to rep others before I could rep myself again. :(

    I repped him for you.
I also believe a man should admit his mistakes, and learn from them.
You can not learn from them, if you never admit them in the first place.

Yes, very bad form on my behalf and new that quickly hence leaving ASAP and the follow up apology. The question though is can they legally deny me entry? I have been looking up regs and law codes and it seems to me that they are discriminating against me disallowing entry. (This really would not be an issue for me but my company uses this venue for events and it may effect my ability to attend important work related events)

    They sure can.

Doing stupid stuff like this does nothing but make pro-gun advocacy more difficult than it has to be.

I don't know who you are, Top Gun, but with friends like you, who needs the Brady Campaign.

    Let's see ...

You are banned from a restaurant and yet your business might take you there for meetings, right? What to do, what to do ...?

I read the first several pages when the thread started, and just now caught up with the end. Interesting conundrum.

At first, I thought that perhaps you could just write a very humble letter of apology and contrition to the owner and, explaining how you may have to attend business dinners there, you recognize the error of your ways and promise to never carry a gun in there again. Especially in the bar.

That would never work, of course, so I put on my thinking cap and came up with the perfect solution for you:

One must be able to admit his mistakes before he can learn from them.

Any man can make a mistake, but it takes a bigger man to admit it. :twocents:

Wow... thanks for sharing that!

Go back to his first post... He came on here to complain about the restaurant. That was his question...

Does he or the restaurant have the authority to ban me...?

It's flat out nuts to pull out a gun to show it off in public, and especially in a bar. It's not a toy, jewelry or a new iPhone. I remember years ago a frat boy I knew in college that kept a loaded 911 above his bed and showed it like it was jewelry and frankly was unsafe with it. IMHO, for then Topgun to come in here and ***** about the restaurant's actions towards him, just reminds me of that frat boy. He's an embarrassment and only furthers the cause for more gun control.

And maybe, he can still learn from it.
I guess it depends on him, and maybe how we present our case.
